Materials

Our materials are gold-filled, gold-plated, sterling silver, and stainless steel. We insist on using high-quality materials to ensure that our jewelry can be worn as long as possible, but the actual life of the jewelry depends on personal wearing habits.

Gold-plated

Gold plating is a method of depositing a thin layer of gold onto the surface of another metal, most often copper or silver, by chemical or electrochemical plating. ONE.Jewely chooses materials with advanced electroplating technology, which is much thicker than ordinary electroplating, and a protective layer is also added to the outer layer. Thus the color retention is better. Most people have no problem wearing it, but we can’t guarantee that everyone will be allergic.

Chemical substances, such as perfume, skincare, and sweat would damage the plated layer, causing daily scratches.

Gold-filled

Gold-filled jewelry is jewelry composed of a solid layer of gold (typically constituting at least 5% of the item’s total weight) mechanically bonded to a base of either sterling silver or some base metal. The layer of gold on gold-filled items is 5 to 10 times thicker than that produced by regular gold plating, and 15 to 25 times thicker than that produced by gold electroplate

Although gold-filled jewelry stays longer than normal gold-plated jewelry, they are not pure gold. ONE.Jewelry recommends following the maintenance of gold-plated jewelry for a better look.

Sterling silver

Sterling silver is an alloy composed by weight of 92.5% silver and 7.5% other metals, usually copper. The sterling silver standard has a minimum millesimal fineness of 925.

The best way to maintain sterling silver jewelry is by wearing it every day. Try to avoid chemical substances. If the silver jewelry gets dark because of oxidation, it can be cleaned with silver polishing cloth and toothpaste.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel jewelry has good corrosion resistance and heat resistance, and its hardness is higher than silver. The surface will not change due to the environment, and it can maintain gloss and smoothness even if worn for a long time.

When wearing, you need to pay attention to prevent the jewelry from being scratched by sharp objects and damaging its surface smoothness.
